CMDR Mark Gill

Commander Mark Gill is the Executive Officer of the Appleton. Formerly our Chief of Communications, Mark wears many hats. A massive sports fan and regular commentator, he has also turned his hand to editing the quarterly magazine of Region 20 STARFLEET, The Runabout, for a period of time. For LBSF at SciFi Scarborough, Mark is one third of “Team Talks”, who run the VIP guest interviews on the main stage throughout the weekend. Mark doubles up with Clare Williams to form the on-stage interview team, interviewing such great names as the Sixth Doctor Colin Baker, “Peri Brown” Nicola Bryant, and “Davros” Terry Malloy all from Doctor Who; Clem So, Dean Andrews, Hugo Myatt, Hattie Hayride, Andrew Lee Potts, and many, many more.

When he’s not geeking out over Trek starships, he can be usually be found discussing football, cricket, tennis, and even baseball with our captain. Somehow, they’re both Milwaukee Brewers fans!
